Roe Ethridge & Zin Taylor: The Ceremony and the Spirit
La Loge, an unconventional artistic platform that opened in September in a former freemason’s temple in Ixelles, currently hosts ‘The Ceremony and the Spirit’. The title of the exhibition was the starting point for a site-specific artistic dialogue between American photographer Roe Ethridge (°1969) and Belgium-based Canadian artist Zin Taylor (°1978) within the building’s exceptional architecture.

Monika Sosnowska
Sosnowska creates minimal architectonic structures that respond to the social, political, and psychological use of space. The stark building style, shaped by politically charged systems, has now become an expression of stagnation, a factor, which Sosnowska rekindles within her work.

A Bigger Splash: Painting after Performance
This exhibition will take a new look at the dynamic relationship between performance and painting since 1950. Contrasting key paintings by Jackson Pollock and David Hockney, the exhibition considers two different approaches to the idea of the canvas as an arena in which to act: one gestural, the other theatrical. Review by Simon Bayliss.
