Matthew Day Jackson: Everything Leads to Another

Mac Adams
Mac Adams is known above all for his photographs, but since the beginning of his career he has also been producing installations in which, nevertheless, photography has a central place. The show at Mudam emphasises this aspect of his work by presenting three installations, in tandem with a selection of photographs ranging from the 1970s to the present day.

Roger Ballen
Roger Ballen is one of the most important photographers of his generation. He was born in New York City in 1950 but has lived and worked in Johannesburg, South Africa, for over thirty years. In his work from 1982 to 1994, Ballen trained his camera on the white population living in the hinterland.

Saskia Olde Wolbers
With her exhibition at the Secession, video artist Saskia Olde Wolbers is showing a selection of her work in Austria for the first time, including a new piece Pareidolia (2011). Since the mid- 1990s, she has been developing fictional documentaries often loosely based on factual events.

Haegue Yang

Although the words duo presentation might suggest similarities, the aim is to emphasise precisely the differences between the work of Jeroen van Bergen and Rik Meijers. This duo presentation is an interweaving of two solo shows, whereby visitors to each room realise how the two artists create their own worlds and just how big the differences can be.
