Cork Midsummer Festival, New Works: Latch
Latch is an original, site-specific theatre show by Hammergrin. A haunting vision of suburbia seen through the eyes of a child, Latch is the story of a boy who believes in everything he’s told, until the day things start to fall apart. Until Saturday 24 June.

Ruth Maclennan: Anarcadia
Anarcadia is a new film and series of photographs made among the desert expanses of Kazakhstan. Filmed in a vast landscape apparently abandoned by colonial and commercial interests, the protagonists, an archaeologist and a surveyor methodically journey across the symbolically charged terrain.

Venice Biennale: Karla Black
Hovering between energy and mass in the eight rooms of the Palazzo Pisani (S. Marina) is a solo exhibition of brand new ‘almost objects’ by the Scottish artist Karla Black. Intimately and painstakingly worked in situ into exquisitely detailed aesthetic forms, a still raw vastness of pure material and colour fills this 15th-century Venetian palace.

Hans Peter Feldmann
As the winner of the HUGO BOSS PRIZE 2010, Feldmann received an honorarium of $100,000, and for his solo exhibition at the Guggenheim, he has chosen to pin this exact amount in overlapping one-dollar bills to the gallery walls. 20 May – 2 November 2011

Crayfish Bob’s, part of the Two Degrees Festival
